Rushour begins for college admissions



As the result fever dies down, the biggest universities of the nation gears up for the college admissions where Delhi university has plans to conduct the operation online Mumbai University has disclosed the admission pattern of various streams.

The university has passed a circular of the admission pattern in various colleges, and according to the circular the forms for first year students would be sold from May 30, till June 14. Accordingly, the collection of forms would be between June 6 and June 18.

First merit list would be displayed on June 20, and the payment of fees will be till June 22, the second will be displayed by evening of June 22 and payment of fees will be from June 22 to June 27. The third merit list will be on board by 27 June, and students can pay their fees till June 29, and the last list would be disclosed by June 29 and fees should be paid by June 30.

To avoid a mess within the colleges, the university has allotted a specific number of seats to the students, who wish to enroll themselves into the graduation programmes.

The university has allotted wider number of seats to commerce faculty, counting up to 1,11,504, followed by Arts, Science, Information technology (IT), Law and lastly fine arts. The university has allotted 44,498 seats for Arts, 32,192 for Science, 20,955 for IT section, 5,325 for law and 336 seats for fine arts. The total student's enrolling themselves in the graduation program would be expected around 2,14799.

There were comparatively lesser seats, the previous year. As per this year, even last year more preference was given to commerce faculty, by allotting 86, 519 seats, followed by 32, 387 seats for Arts, 14, 521 seats for Science, 9,950 for IT, 9,950 for law and 314 for Fine Arts respectively. 2,03,483 had enrolled in the University graduation program in 2010- 11.
